Sweet And Sour Sauce Recipes

This is a great sauce to add with chicken, polish sausage, meatballs.. Just add veggies and serve over rice. Tastes sinful, but it's not that bad!

According to sources, the Cantonese originally came up with the idea of merging these two very different flavors, although it is unclear when the idea originated or what led to its invention. Some believe that pork flavored with sweet and sour sauce was actually created to satisfy foreign tastes. Whether or not that is true, sweet and sour dishes remain very popular in China.

This is a fairly quick and tasty sweet and sour sauce. We enjoy it with baked egg rolls.

Adjusted the recipe on the sugar, cut from 1.5 cups to .75 cups of sugar.

Tastes great on beef ribs

Makes 20 tablespoons.

A great sauce that works well with any stir-fry veg, tofu, Quorn or stir-fried meat.

I use this sauce with chicken or pork and have fried rice with it.

This is a nice sauce for meatballs and spooned over rice.

No ketchup added

Very tasty when mixed with diced cooked ham, pineapple chunks and slices of green pepper or can be used as sauce for stir fry with vegetables and/or cooked meat of your choice.

Add Pre-Cooked Chicken (Not included in calories) and Rice

this is what I use on my fried rice and other Asian things that need a sauce because I am allergic to soy and cannot use soy sauce. It is sweet but very nice compliment to dishes.
