Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I have a slanted knife with serrated edges to loosen the grapefruit and separate the segments. I put maple syrup or honey or brown sugar on it . I don't bake mine but put it under an eye level grill. Then I put pre toasted sunflower seed on top. Oranges make a good substitute. Both are lovely!
It's good, but heat destroys vitamin C.
Yes! This is the kind of recipe that I would expect to see on site like SparkPeople. Healthy, clean and simple. The honey could be optional. The pistachios add the protein. Maybe a few more pistachios on top if you ditch the added sugar. Also, agave might be a better choice for sweetener.
I sure can't see myself going to all that work, when 20 seconds in the microwave works really well. Try a mixture of sugar, chocolate and cinnamon. Yum!
YUMMY! Just made this for a mid morning snack, it was so good & didn't take me over my breakfast calories either, egg, toast, 1 sausage & this delicious new way to eat grapefruit!
Definitely a fine alternative. I tried it today but just used coconut palm sugar since that's what I had in the oven. It was really enjoyable.
Warm delicious comfort food without any of the calories of rich, sweet comfort food. I substituted pecans for pistachios and eating the whole grapefruit is one of my favorite weekend breakfasts.
I used walnuts on top, SO GOOD! loved this recipe. Never thought I'd eat a grapefruit without a ton of sugar, but now never again!
yum...i like adding salt
Sure is more healthy than using butter and brown sugar like when I was a kid!!
