I don't see sugar listed in the recipe either. I wonder how that affects the nutritional breackdown? Artie
I noticed everyone is mentioning the sugar in the recipe...I dont see it...how much and what kind are you supposed to be adding? TY!!
Not bad. I took everyone's advice and cut the sugar. Much, much better than the can stuff.
We loved this. I didn't have a cup of ketchup so I substituted a small can of tomato paste and added water until it equaled 1 cup. I cut the sugar to 1 Tablespoon. I think, in the future, I will leave the sugar out completely. That's just "our" taste. This was an excellent quick satisfying meal.
Great Taste! I made this for my inlaws for Fathers Day and they all liked it and my mother in law asked what was in it. Thank you so much for the recipe. I did alter it a bit and added 2 tbsp of Country Bobs (25 calories per TBSP) to mine and I threw it in the crockpot overnight after cooking it.
These were SO good and so easy. Just as easy as the stuff you buy in the can and BETTER. It was a little too sweet for me, so next time I'll cut the sugar down to 1 tbs, but other than that...AWESOME!
