Nutrition & Calorie Comments

Love a good pot roast, ultimite comfort food for me. But the sodium in this is recipe makes me skip it. It's more than 1/3 my daily allowence, wish I could, sounds awesome. Submitted by:

Very nice way to do a lower cost cut of beef. Works well with a pork loin. Easy to make lower carb replacements. Submitted by:

Delicious but way too salty for me. Submitted by:

Dad apparently didn't care about his sodium and blood pressure. Submitted by:

Yes, the calorie count doesn't add up. Also, wonder what the portion size is. But I do like chuck roast in the crock w/veggies -- i personally use unsalted beef stock (not broth) as the liquid and add my own italian seasonings. Submitted by:

I don't even watch my sodium but this would be way too much for me! I'm sure it's delish, though. Submitted by:

I'm wondering if the sodium level is off as well --- those packets have lots of sodium Submitted by:

I make this all the time, but have to change things because the sodium in this recipe is way too high for me. I add 1 C red wine and add potatoes, carrots and onions Submitted by:

I'd rather use my own seasonings to cut down on the sodium and my own homemade gravy, but it is a delicious recipe. Submitted by:

This is excellent. Make sure to use low sodium gravy and I use 1 1/2 packs instead of two full. Submitted by:
