Ingredients

    * Indian, Aromatic Basmati Rice, aprox 3/4 cup, 2.5 serving
    * Lentils, 1 cup
    * Turmeric, ground, 0.25 tsp
    * Raisins, 0.75 cup (not packed) (
    * Almonds, 0.75 cup, whole
    * Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
    * 1 Green Peppers (bell peppers),
    * Garlic, 2 cloves
    * Egg, fresh, 1 large
    * Olive Oil, 0.25 cup
    * Cabbage, fresh, 1 head, medium (about 5-3/4" dia)
    SAUCE
    * Crushed Tomatoes, 1600 grams (remove)
    * Basil, 4tsp (remove)
    * Cinnamon, ground, 2 tsp (remove)
    * Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions

Bring 2 Cups of water to boil, adding rice and turmeric. Return to a boil, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Cook lentils in 3 cups of boiling water until soft. Saute the onion, pepper and garlic in olive oil. In a large bowl, combine the sauteed vegetables, rice lentils, almonds, and raisins. Fill each (par-boiled) cabbage leaf with about 1/2 to 3/4 cup filling, beginning at the thick of the leaf. Begin to fold this over, folding the edges in as you go to make a neat roll. Place the rolls in one or two casseroles - cover with SAUCE

Bake covered at 350 degrees, 45-60 minutes
