Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup Red Lentils, Dry
4 tsp Garam Masala Spice Blend (more or less to taste)
3.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water
    Salt, to taste
    some type of blending device

Tips

For even more flavor, you can use stock instead of water. Just remember, that will change your nutrition info.

Add some cooked veggies to the puree to amp up the nutritional value.

Directions

Rinse lentils. Put lentils and water in pot and bring to a boil. Then lower to medium heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Remove from heat, add garam masala and salt. Use your favorite blending device (I like a stick blender), and puree until smooth.

You can save a few of the cooked lentils, before you puree them, to use as a garnish.
