Ingredients

    8 slices (about 7.5 cups) Alpine Valley Bread - dried and cubed
    1 1/2 cups diced onion
    1 1/2 cups diced celery
    1 cup diced apple (with skin)
    1 shallot (about 4 tablespoons) thinly sliced
    1/4 cup dried cranberries (Crasins)
    1 1/2 cups chicken stock/broth
    2 Morning Star sausage patties (heated and chopped)
    1/4 cup pecans (toasted and chopped)
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp sage
    2 tsp basil
    2 tsp rosemary
    2 tsp thyme
    1 tsp salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Preheat large sauce pan (med heat) to use on stove top. Add 1/2 cup of chicken broth onion, celery, shallots, apple, and spices. Cook until onions are clear and apple and celery are tender. Add 1/2 cup broth and cranberries and stir. Add bread cubes, sausage crumbles, last 1/2 cup broth, and pecans. Mix ingredients. Place in glass baking dish and put into oven. Cook for about 15 minutes. Number of servings- 8
