A nutritious pick-me-up or meal replacement! I use this as an easy substitute for breakfast or lunch when I don't have time. This recipe is for one serving made in a Magic Bullet, but it can be altered to fit any number of servings.
add beef and water
bring to boil then skim off the foam
add all ingredients except potatoes
simmer for appx 1 hour or until carrots are just barely fork tender then add the potatoes
seaon to taste with salt and pepper
cook until potatoes are fork tender
I like to freeze the banana and then use it. Put all ingredients in the blender add ice for desired consistency, this is my favorite breakfast and recovery drink from p90x.
By mixing some hot chocolate powder and a little bit of almond milk, you end up with a seriously DELICIOUS and ADDICTIVE blend, the perfect balance of sweetness, nuttiness and chocolate flavor.
Also, it's VERY low in fat and sugar, and has lots of calcium. Yum!
