Mke this in muffin cups sprayed well with cooking spray for easy travel food. I bake mine in a cast iron skillet because it's easier prep, but it needs to be eatenout of a dish this way. You can freeze these, just be sure to thaw the night before. Warm them in 30 second intervals in the microwave, flipping one time.

These are excellent and gorgeous when served with caramelized apples, whipped topping and a sprinkling of coarse sugar. Try experimenting with syrup selections as well. Maple or buttery pancake syrup mix very well with the flavors. Other fruit compotes such as blueberry or cinnamon raising go very well, too. Enjoy!
(This recipe was created when experimenting with nutrition plans which cut out cornstarch and white wheat flour. Arrowroot was used just to avoid the cornstarch in baking powder and certainly is not necessary for the recipe to be successful)
This is a recipe my grandma has passed down to me. We used to always make everytime I went to her house! It tastes great fresh from the oven.

Makes 6 biscuits. Serve warm on an early Sunday morning with coffee or orange juice and grab a banana before heading off to church. Recipe is easily doubled.
