Linda Huhn shared this recipe with Heather while she was in graduate school at Purdue University. Heather makes it for most holiday dinners.
Jean Howze chose one her family's favorite recipes for family get-togethers and holidays. You can make this recipe ahead of time and freeze it. Everyone loves it (even if they have never eaten sweet potatoes). This dish is very sweet. It could almost be a dessert.
The oyster is one of nature's great wonders. Reportedly they only nutrients missing from oysters can be added with a little milk. I guess that makes this stew the perfect meal.
Adapted from Cooking Light's Cinnamon Streusel coffee cake recipe (December 1996-I think, I've been making it this way for a very long time)
At just over 100 calories per 8 servings, or 141 calories if you divide the loaf into 6 pieces, this recipe is the perfect protein packed meal for any dieter. My mom came up with the combo of bran, oatmeal, and Italian bread crumbs, and its helped to make the meatloaf more satisfying. I especially like to add some hot sauce and then pair the meatloaf with baked mushrooms and broccoli with a side of sweet potatoes!
I use the disposable, aluminum loaf pans - they are slightly smaller than a standard loaf pan. Ths recipe makes 6 of these or 4 regular loaf pans or 10 mini loaves.
Enjoy sweet orange rolls, without the kneading. The rolls aren't overly sweet, so they make a lovely breakfast. You will find my family enjoying a pan of these bakery treats on Christmas morning.
Mix the potatoes, cheese, soup, sour cream, onions, salt to taste, pepper to taste, and half the melted butter. Place the mixture in a 9 x 13 pan. Pour the remaining butter on the top and spread the corn flakes over the top. Bake 350 for 45 minutes.
A healthy oatmeal cookie that is really delicious.
My husband loves these cookies!
In total the recipe makes 500g of candied nuts; or 25 - 20g servings. Not a huge amount but a little somthing sweet and crunchy to go with coffee instead of a cookie over the holidays. Healthier for you too than cookies.
