The large sweet onion in this recipe is sauteed for a long time and then garlic, ginger, and carrots are added. Once the water is added a beautiful, flavorful clear broth forms. Then with the addition of Herbamare, the flavors deepen. Complexity is formed when the quinoa and cabbage are dropped in. With the final touch of cilantro, you have a bright, colorful, and flavorful soup just waiting to help your cells and liver detoxify!

Either fresh or frozen blueberries work in this recipe. You can also mix it up a little and use blackberries, raspberries, or strawberries.....or a mix of all of them! Sometimes I use kudzu starch in place of the arrowroot which is very healing to the intestines. Use 1 tablespoon kudzu in place of the 2 tablespoons arrowroot. This syrup will solidify a little in the fridge and needs to be heated before using.
It is super fast to prepare. It only requires you to toss everything into a blender and blend.

These pancakes are currently a work in progress--next time I will reduce the almond milk, and I think I got the tartar/soda ratios a little high for the rest of the mix. Altogether fairly happy with the results.
