Lactose Free Recipes (Most Popular)
This lasagna is made with lactose free mozzerella soy cheese and it is delicious! To lower the sodium use your own homemade pasta sauce, anything store bought in cans or jars has ridiculous amounts of sodium in it.

Sizzling shrimp and veggies top off tasty noodles. Looks like it came from an Asian restaurant but takes only 30 minutes in a common skillet. From eatbetteramerica.

I enjoy smoothies and this includes fruits that I don't have time to eat during the day. I also am trying to cut back on dairy products and this is an excellent way to substitute dairy for soymilk. So blend and enjoy!

This is my adaptation of a recipe a Rwandan family taught me. They used chunks of stewed beef instead of venison, but venison is what I had in my freezer; hence the swap. :) It's delicious, and if the idea of adding peanut butter weirds you out, no worries. It adds creaminess to the dish, but you don't taste it and think, "Tastes like PB&venison." :) It is not eaten from a bowl like soup; rather, it is ladled over rice and eaten with a spoon.
A homey, hearty soup with a visual twist, using yellow split peas instead of the more common green. A great way to use up holiday ham!
This is an easy and versatile recipe that can be made to fit your flavor mood. It is also a great way to sneak in some fruit or even a veggie first thing in the morning. My kids loved it with maple and brown sugar oatmeal mixed with a banana.
I love Mexican Horchata but avoid it due to sugar and calorie content. I put this recipe together as a good substitute for the milky cinnamon drink.
I use Almond Breeze for the low calorie content and the creamy texture but Rice Milk would be closer to the original.
Hope you enjoy!
This recipe was created for a diabetic friend of the family, but also includes a way to make it lactose free, for my husband. You cannot even tell it doesn't use real buttermilk. I also substitute egg beaters for the real eggs, but for this recipe, I entered real eggs in the nutritional info.
Something I came up with this afternoon as I was filling an order for my bakery (see http://bumblebeebakery.wetpaint.com or my blog for more). Smelled divine!
Potatoes make this hearty, well-textured bread tender and wonderfully chewy, while the three risings develop a flavour like no other you’ve ever had. Whether fresh out of the oven or toasted days later for breakfast, you won’t regret making this!
This recipe is made using a bread machine set on the dough cycle. It's very easy, much lower calorie and cheaper than store bought. There's a lot of flexibility with this one. You can get really creative with toppings and flavors!
I got burned out on broccoli for several months, but this recipe is delicious and an amazing way to get your veggies!
This is a hearty recipe. You get all the protein and vegetables needed. You may want to substitute the salt for Mrs. Dash to avoid too much sodium.
Mix all the ingredients in the crock pot, turn it on, go to work, and come home to a good hot meal and a house smelling like chili.
*** Important note: This is not 100% Lactose Free. The lactose comes from the whey powder, which is 98% Lactose Free according to the manufacturer. A 100% whey protein isolate powder would be more than 99% Lactose Free. ***
I was trying to figure out how to get a big serving of protein in the lowest possible calories. A fitness website (not SP) had a suggestion of pure protein powder + water, but that just sounded horrid, so I tried this instead. Hemp milk is very creamy; I combined it with water to lower the calories. Delicious and satisfying. Mix really well and use good quality (all or mostly isolate) whey protein powder.
