This is just an ordinary sugar cookoie recipe. What are the healthy ingredients in this recipe? I expect SparkPeople to provide recipes that have some health benefits. How about a cookie recipe that has some whole wheat flour or oatmeal to give some dietary fiber.

Still only one cookie as a serving, so eat some, and that is your treat for the day and move on..... I’ve made these with Splenda too. But you will still eat more than one...... You can actually buy some that have less calories. Submitted by:

I used Splenda and soy milk to suit my household needs and to save some calories on the sugar! There is a lot of butter in this recipe! I don't think I could make these more than once a year and only for another person.....too tempting for any of us at home to eat just one! Submitted by:

Shortbread cookies are family favorites...so we don't make them often! Never found a good one made with something other than butter though! And Yes, this recipe can easily be cut down.... My old trusty Betty Crocker recipe is 2 c flour, 3/4 c butter, 1/4 c sugar. That's it..! Enjoy
