I liked this a lot. I skipped the slow cooker and just cooked on the stovetop until the beans were done, then added the rest of the ingredients and cooked for 5 minutes longer. I also decreased the sugar some and increased the mustard per my personal taste. Great recipe, thanks for sharing!
Best beans I've ever made! I reduced the sugar to 2/3 cup (used white sugar) and added 2 tbsp molasses, and used fresh water instead of the soak water (to reduce "gassiness" of the recipe). My partner also commented on how great they were. Very simple to make - thank you!
The family liked this recipe, I thought it was a little sweet with the cup of sugar, next time I will cut it down. It was a change form the way I make them. will make again Thanks
