Introduction

Tangy version of cranberry sauce that you can use as a side, added to pie, yogurt, or even a sandwich! Chilled initially, it gets better as it goes. Tangy version of cranberry sauce that you can use as a side, added to pie, yogurt, or even a sandwich! Chilled initially, it gets better as it goes.

Ingredients

Cranberries - whole Ocean Spray, 1.5 cup
    Honey, .25 cup
    Orange Juice, .5 cup
    Orange Peel, 4 tbsp
    Orange (1 medium orange), 154 gram(s)
    Fresh Pomegranate Arils, 0.66 cup

Tips

I found this in Deliciousliving Magazine. BUT I subbed the honey for sugar and adjusted the liquid of the recipe accordingly. Add chopped pecans or walnuts as an added twist. I did a comparison to the usual cranberry sauce. This tangy switch recipe blew away the over the top sweetened regular sauce.

Directions

Combine cranberries, honey, orange juice, and peel (slivered) in a suitable saucepan. Stir over medium-high heat and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium; simmer until berries begin to burst. Turn heat to medium-low and cook another 10 minutes, stirring often.Transfer to a serving bowl, cover, and chill.
