This is one of my many "this produce ain't getting any fresher!" improvisations. This represents what I had in my fridge on this particular day, but it could cover pretty much any produce you have sitting around. It would also be good with meat or seafood added.
Faced with a mountain of random blobs of leftovers in my fridge, I went to food.com and entered "rice bowl" into their search engine. This is my adaptation of one of those recipes, based on what I had available. The original recipe is available here:

I love when recipes come together by accident! I was sauteing some veggies for a frittata and made more than I needed. I put the leftovers in a big white bowl and suddenly imagined them in broth and noodles. Just a few minutes later, dinner was served.
Bang Bang Shrimp is a crowd-pleaser, there's no doubt about that. But it's never a pleasure to feel yucky after devouring it. I found a way to make it light, easy and with all the BANG that you could want.
sauté vegtables in olive oil until tender, add shrimp, season with Chile oil, cumin and curry. thicken with cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup water. Cook noodles and add to Chow Mein. Season with soy sauce (optional)
This is a quick and satisfying Asian dinner. Most of the ingredients can be found in the Asian food section of your local grocery store.
