I had a package of puff pastry and didn't know what to do with it, so I mashed some frozen berries up and added a few other things and baked up a sort of pie/torte snack. For the berries, I used a blue/black/rasp berry mix. This goes great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or for fewer calories and fat, a spoon of vanilla cool whip. The nutrition info is just for the pie though, so add the ice cream or cool whip if you use them.

This is an old recipe from my husband's family. It is so rich and creamy that I thought it would have too many calories and fat grams for me, but it doesn't. Try it and I think it might be one of your family's favorites too!

Traditional flan made a little lighter with 2% milk. I don't recommend skim milk because the custard does not set properly. You can use individual custard cups or a two quart casserole dish. Best made a day ahead of time.
