I have read enough of recipes to make this on my own from memory. My whole family liked it. I served it with mashed potatoes - there was plenty of gravy.
Made this with veggies found at the farmer's market, but adapt it with whatever is in season in your area--for example, if you can't find italian green beans snap peas are a good replacement. Substitute chicken for tofu, and use whatever rice you like!

This is an extremely healthy BEEF chili. This is the type of chili that takes all day to properly make but is well worth the effort. It makes a huge batch of chili.
I came up with it by taking my Mom's basic recipe and asking my husband what he wanted in a chili. *poof*
You can easily add different beans, more spice, etc. The spice temperature of this is around medium. Flavorful enough to be tasty, not too spicy to burn!
P.S. I really did win awards for this chili at a local chili cook-off (People's Choice & Top Prize).
I recommend low sodium canned options. Since this is the "lazy" recipe and the juices itself make the broth, I will not be featuring fresh or frozen vegetables.
This is my crock pot version of Keema, a Pakistani recipe (it is in no way authentic just a close cousin).
This is pretty mild spice wise so if you like it spicy kick up the curry a little.
