I make a smoothie for breakfast every morning and I like to boost the nutritional value by using V8 V-Fusion juice which contains both a full serving of fruit and a full serving of vegetables in every cup. There are quite a few flavors of the juice so you can find whichever one you like best!
Just put some things together in the fridge and this is what I came up with.. I made it again since this recipe and added 8 blackberries(optional obviously). The apple juice and milk is just a dash. : )
Corn meal was/is used by Native Americans for many foods. It forms the basis of Pinole, a food that works great for pre-workout meals. Its complex carb breaksdown slowly providing the energy to last an entire workout (for me,that is a 4 mile run in 30 minutes plus a workout that consists of 300 pushups/situps, 50 - 75 chins and dips plus free weight work).
This is an easy meal to prepare and simmer while at work (6 - 8 hours). I add 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt on top of each serving.

This smoothie is delicious and tastes like a Jolly Rancher. Due to the watermelon, the smoothie does not have a very thick consistency. It's more like juice.
