Chocolate soymilk, peanut butter and banana whip up into a delicious treat in 5 minutes.
This light, refreshing drink is a lovely treat on a hot evening, and it looks beautiful in a glass pitcher. Substitue 1.5 C extra each of white grape juice and light apple juice to make it a non-alcoholic beverage. Add a cup of strawberry or raspberry flavored sparkling water to create a bubbly spritzer!
This delicious mocktail is so refreshing on a hot day. It pairs well with Asian and Indian foods. I particularly like to serve this drink with spicy Thai food as the flavors are complimentary and the ginger is calming to the digestive system.
Serve in tall iced tea, martini or margarita glasses. Garnish with a stir stick or cocktail fork with a pierced blackberry. Optionally, dip each glass rim in ginger ale or lime juice and granulated sugar. Edge the glasses with a lime wedge and an umbrella for a pretty presentation. Spice up the party by adding 1/2 oz of clear rum or brandy to each glass (not included in calorie count!)
Note: You will need 8-10 limes to prepare this drink. I like to keep a bottle of Sicilia lime juice handy in case limes are not very juicy and I come up short!
I keep lots of frozen fruit to make into quick smoothies after my run in the summertime. I cut a banana into 4, and toss them in the freezer to add in quickly. This smoothing is thick and tasty and really fills me up.
6 hormel pepperoni
3 to 4 tbsp of great value pizza sauce
1/4 cup food lion pizza blend shredded cheese
Flatout italian herb
A crazy concoction, but man it tastes good. Half Coke, half homemade Yoo Hoo, half Frapp, all yummy summer fun. Pile up the ice and pour the rest on, then shake or whip up in a blender. That's it! And for less than 1/3 of the calories and carbs in a Mocha Lite Frapp from you-know-where.
Just a little post-workout treat, high protein, low sugar except for sweet strawberries and a bit of yogurt and rice milk. Delicious, protein-packed, and gives you 90% RDA of calcium and 50% RDA of vitamin C, all in one drink. To lower the calories, you could use nonfat milk and nonfat yogurt (or just a lower-sugar brand of yogurt).
I made this up after trying to replicate my favorite chocolate coffee summer drink from Caribou. This recipe has way fewer calories, is cheaper, and tastes almost as good.
This is a great smoothie, looks funny, but when you get past the color, you'll love the taste. I like to have it for breakfast with a handful of raw almonds to munch on... sometimes I throw those in there too.
I freeze really ripe bananas and use them in my smoothies so I don't have to add sweetener.
A recipe I found online for sore throats. You only need a little cayenne to open up the sinuses. The honey really helps soothe a sore throat and will calm a cough too.
With a scope of protein powder and fresh fruit I have hopes that this will be a good smoothie.
