A rich, and healthy curry that will tickle your taste buds. Very inexpensive to make. Completely vegan, so it pleases everyone! A little high in fat, so watch it for the rest of the day if you want to eat this. Very tasty!
NOTE: To reduce fat content, use lite coconut milk , or lower coconut milk amount, and don't drain the tomatoes, or add veggie broth and a little cornstarch.
This is a lovely Indian dish that is totally vegetarian AND low in fat. A great way to get leafy greens.
This is a super simple recipie. It takes a little time because the salmon tastes better if you let it marinate in the curry before cooking it. I generally serve this with pineapple sweet potatoes and a green salad.
Shiba's (http://www.katmandufood.com/) spice is an important ingredient. The yellow "curry powder" easily found in most American grocery stores will not taste as good. If you don't use Shiba's make sure it is an authentic Indian curry powder.
(This isn't an authentic Indian food, but with Shiba's spices it tastes authentic.)
I love getting these at Indian Summer. I've changed the recipe slightly so it's not quite so bad for me.
This is my favorite mock curried chicken salad. It is made using TVP. Great on a bed of lettuce, on a sandwich or served with crackers or even in a wrap! Enjoy :)
Mixed vegetables soup, perfectly balanced with yellow split pigeon peas (or Indian lentils - Tuar dal), a south Indian favorite prepared in various combination of veggies or other lentil base. Variations can be a combination or alone of split mung or massor dal, without skin( available in Inidan section of any supermarket)
This was made from a packet that contains 7 seasonings along with a recipe and a list of other ingredients that you will need. I will type out everything as 1 long list to make it easier.
