Pork and hominy [posole] stew, green chilis simmered together for a rich warming dinner. Best served with a fresh cold/room temp topping of diced avocado, tomato, cilantro, onion, and jalapeno to tase. This is one of very few dishes I would put in a slow cooker!
I absolutely love going to any seafood restaurant and ordering lobster bisque! It's so creamy and wonderful! When I looked up a recipe to make it for my man for Valentine's Day I was blown away by how much fat and calories are in the full flavor soup! This recipe may not be the lowest cal or low fat but it was reduced extremely!! I'm sure I could have lowered it more but I was afraid it would be as good but I could hardly taste the difference! Next time I'll make more substitutions for lower fat! I also had no access to real lobster or lobster base that some of the recipes I looked at called for but will try and find at least the base for next time.
This is a recipe I originally got off of http://recipes.chef2chef.net My wife and I love it. The Hollandaise is a little decadent but sometimes you just have to.
These patties use flax meal as a binder, instead of bread crumbs, making these a low-carb option, although Atkins followers may opt for two eggs in place of the egg substitute. These are also full of omega-3 fatty acids, from the fish and the flax.
This pita sandwich is so satisfying and pretty healthy too!
You're going to love this dish. It's fast and easy -- as well as delicious and incredibly healthy! If you happen to be following a low-carb plan, this is just the ticket!
This simple recipe is my wife's creation when we couldn't decide on what to make. It has good flavor and can be made with very low fat.
This is a really healthy snack or lunch which you can make ahead and eat it on the go.
This can be an appetizer or a meal. We eat it with couscous and a veggie. A fav with my entire family!
