My adaptation of Stephanie Alexander's recipe - but a half quantity (enough for one pizza)
This is a nice and easy hummus dip. I've been asked to make this few times. Contains no olive oil and no tahini.
Blooming Onion (from Healthy Cooking Magazine)
2 large sweet onions
1 Tbsp butter
2 tsp dijon mustard
3 Tbsp dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
sauce:
1/4 cup fat-free sour cream
1/4 cup fat-free mayo
1 1/2 tsp dried minced onion
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dill weed
1- with a sharp knife slice 1/2 inch off top of onion, peel outside layer off and discard. Cut onion into 16ths stopping 1/2 inch from root end
2- place each onion in heavy duty foil (about 12 inch square) fold foil around onions and seal tightly, place in uncovered baking dish. bake 425 for 20 minutes
3- in a small bowl combine butter and mustard. Open foil, fold foil into a bowl around onions. brush butter mixture over onions, sprinkle with bread crumbs, salt, and pepper
4- Bake 20 minutes longer until crisp-tender
5- combine sauce ingredients, serve with onions

I was bored in the kitchen and realized I had thawed chicken I needed to cook. I decided to get skippy and try making a different kind of lasagna. I may have used too much cheese! Feedback is appreciated.
This is a vegetarian lasagne that combines red and white sauce and uses those winter squash. Really Delicious and you can put some away in the freezer for quick warm up later.
