This recipe is made from Kashi's seven grain pilaf found in the breakfast section. I was attempting to copy the recipe that Kashi uses in one of their frozen dinners. I think I came pretty close. I use this as a healthy side or I toss it with grilled chicken and vegetables for a one dish meal. I hope you enjoy it!
You can cut the fat and calories on this by using fat-free milk and reduced fat or fat-free cheese.

This recipe uses dark molasses or honey. The nutritional info is for molasses, but if you use honey instead, add 4 calories, 1 carb and 1 sugar gram per serving. Not that big a difference...

Steam broccoli in microwave for about 2 minutes until bright green and still crisp. Let cool to room temperature. Add onion, cranberries and almonds with dressing in bowl and gently combine. Store in fridge for at least 30 minutes up to 24 hours.
Cut cauliflower into florets and boil until soft (about 15 - 20 minutes); drain well. Mix cauliflower and remaining ingredients in food processor and puree. Season with salt and pepper.
