Nutrition & Calorie Comments

Added carrots, green pepper, sweet onion in place of green onion and additional Soy Sauce; served over brown rice. Even the grandkids and men at the table enjoyed this. Just wish recipes that we alter could be easily changed on Spark with correct nutrition items.
This was really great. I took the advice of others and used more ginger and garlic and a little less brown sugar. Delicious over brown rice!
I used agave nectar instead of sugar and fresh garlic. Served it over brown rice. Very good and easy.
I made it for my dinner tonight, it was unbelievable! I browned the chicken in vegetable oil, then added it to the crock-pot. I used low-sodium soy sauce, and minced garlic. It reminded me of sweet n sour chicken.
I just started something similar to this in my crock-pot, only with lean thick-cut pork chops, and honey instead of brown sugar. Found your recipe after I started mine cooking, will add some of your ideas to mine & see how it comes out!
It is the crock pot now - easy to prepare - followed other comments and added minced garlic, ginger and added chili pepper flakes. I also left out the brown sugar since some say too sweet. We will see how it is after work.
This recipe is great! But I did spice it up! I added more ginger and used chopped garlic instead of powder! I also used 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce and 1 tbsp low sodium teriyaki sauce. I also added some red pepper flake for heat. I stir fried some veggies and served it with that.
Very Very YummY
It was really good. Also really easier to prepare. My mom who type 2 diabetic really like it, low sugar amout too.
