Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I saved this recipe because it looks good and because its a cheap meal for someone who is on food assistance like me. We dont have ground beef. so instead im using ground turkey which should bring the calories down some, i will post later tonight how it tasted!
I've always made this recipe a little different. It probably increases the calories though!!! It's worth a try to do it this way!
We like to serve this over rice also. Adding frozen veggies is a great way to add nutrition and make the meat go farther.
I like to add things, so I sauteed onions, bell pepper, celery, and carrots in with the meat. I also Added corn to the mix before baking it. For spices I added season salt, garlic pepper, and oregano.
It was good with all my adjustments. Don't know how it would have been without them.
This was okay, my kids did like it and it was REALLY easy to make. My husband and I were not big fans. I added seasoning salt which was ok, it was better with plain salt and pepper. It was bland, even with the seasonings, that's probably why the kids liked it:)
The whole family ate this (even my son that tries nothing...did eat a piece of the hamburger.) Very good! But did add salt and pepper to taste.
