I tried making these for breakfast & they came out fabulous! Hubby loved 'em!
Cook time is based on per batch. Cooking spray amount for recipe is based on 8 waffles multiplied by quick 1 sec spray on top of iron & quick 1 sec spray on bottom of iron for each waffle.
no seseme seeds or almonds. Should make 16 cups to = 32 servings
Combine and add liquid stevia (vanilla or almond) to taste for added sweetness.
Whole Wheat and soy flour, oat bran and flax give a hearty texture to these muffins.
Note: This recipe makes 12 large muffins. You can make 18 muffins for about 125 cal a muffin too.
Really easy to prepare with the right ingredients. You can substitute a flavored yogurt in place of the plain if you prefer
Delicious stuffed mushroom caps, that are not too rich but full of flavor. These have become my breakfast because they are fast and full of protein. I am on the back on the Induction phase of Atkins and they do not cause me a problem. This has been calculated without any optional ingredients.
Jim found on IPAD cookbook. He added walnuts, dried cherries and used Activa vanilla and didn't have flax seed.
They are great. BUT he made lots of them not 8 they would have been huge. He probably made 24, which would change the calories to even less. We based the recipe on 16, but they might be too big too....
Good to use in yogurt, as breakfast cereal (do 1/2 cup if that is what you do.) Works well too with regular oatmeal. Can mix up what kind of nuts and dried fruit as well.
