This is a very simple, healthy, and delicious bread. I make this for every day use.
A tasty healthy alternative to white flour tortillas. The margarine can be substituted with any butter or butter-like spread, and the salt can be completely omitted if desired. (Changing anything in the recipe will alter the caloric content, so make sure to double check the calories in your ingredients if you do decide to change them)
If you hate the thought of using mayo in your diet than this is a nice, zesty alternative for a great tuna salad sandwich.
I find turkey to be kind of blah unless of course it's covered in gravy during Thanksgiving. This is the only way I can eat it and enjoy it when it's ground. Feel free to adjust all seasonings to preference. I did not include nutrition facts for a bun to throw it on.
Trying this recipe out...it actually calls for 2tbl of butter in place of the applesauce, and whole or 2% milk in place of the 1/2%.
I came up with this recipe because I couldn't find any bread at the store that was healthy and didn't contain soy, refined flours and refined sugars.
My homemade bread. It's smells so good! I can't quite make the switch back to store bought bread anymore. My family wouldn't let me anyway!
