this is a relatively high protein blondie base..you can add butterscotch chips, walnuts, chocolate chips, its up to you..by the way..I added 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon caramel flavored sugar free syrup, 1.2 teaspoon baking power, 1/8 teaspoon baking soda, and a dash of salt..doesnt add many calories I dont think so i didnt put it up top

This is one of my favorite BBQ side dishes. If you wanted to make the recipe healthier, you could substitute Olive Oil for Canola Oil, Light Soy Sauce instead of regular Soy Sauce and Splenda in place of Granulated Sugar. My family loves to add a 4 oz can of small shrimp to boost the protein sometimes too.
Great with ice cold milk. make ahead of time and store in your icebox, till your ready to impress. I like to add vanilla or another flavor to make them a little different. mmmm

Needs adjusting, but it is a basic, not healthy/unhealthy crisp. Next time would do less brown sugar, more nuts, more oats, a bit of earth balance/margarine and blended graham crackers mixed in with berries to absorb liquid
This is a great marinade for grilling chicken wings, tuna or salmon. Also makes a great dippin sause for pot stickers.
