this is a spin on the original recipe i found on the site which was a delicious one....
This cake is made without eggs, milk or butter. It is quick and easy. No need to frost, but you can sprinkle powdered sugar if you like.
**Regular all-purpose flour can be used.
This is a perfect meal for night time as it provides a slow release of amino acids from the protein, further slowed by the healthy fats from the oil. Many protein manufacturers now offer night time 'desserts', although these are often little more than a thick shake, and if you're anything like me, I prefer to eat my meal if I have the chance rather than drink it. My nighttime protein souffle actually feels like your eating a meal, and tastes much better than many of these night time proteins on the market. At least that's what I think!
Try using different flavors such as vanilla or cookies and cream. You can also exchange the apple sauce for things like almond butter, although if you do this, reduce the amount of oil you add so as to keep the fat content from rising!
Best ever chocolate chip recipe. I won "Best Cookie" first place award at the St. Vincent's Home Health Care Picnic 20 years ago.
This is something I have after a spicy meal to calm things down or when I feel like something incredibly chocolate and creamy - and also goes nicely with a cup of tea in the mornings.
A gorgeous, grainy, soft melt in the mouth pudding usually made with lots of ghee, or clarified butter, but I use none at all and can say it tastes really delicious and less sickening than the real deal. Yet, it is still creamy, sweet and flavorful and really hits the spot.
A friend gave this to me after she brougt it to work and fooled everyone. They thought it was Apple Crisp. I made it and fooled the kids. Great way to get them to eat a veggie.
These are so good that you can't eat just one - but, at less than 18 calories a cookie, you can eat more than one!
As shown here, this is a "double" recipe - so cutting the amounts in half to make half the cookies will still work just fine.
Don't want to throw out those egg yolks after using the whites for angel food cake or egg white omelets? Make these scrumptious cookies for the kids! Your kids, the nieghborhood kids, kids at church or Scouts. . . . . Somewhere out there there's a kid just coming in from playing outside who would LOVE a cookie or three!
Do not use pearl tapioca. Use Kraft minute tapioca. Could not find this ingredient in spark people list. Use 12 tablespoons. This keeps very well in fridge.
This is my great-great-great grandmother's recipe and I'm 61 so it's been around a while. Notice there is none of that candied fruit junk in it. If you can't find venison, use chuck and defat it carefully! Venison has virtually no fat.
You can also use this to make mini-pies or handpies or filled cookies.
