fruity, low cal dessert
I make this in a cuisinart ice cream maker 2-3 hours before serving.
Every spring, Colin’s mom, Mary Jane, makes this Rhubarb Crunch. I love that it has a special syrup that is poured over the top, making it different from any crunch I’ve ever tasted. Our family looks forward to it every year.
This just might be the perfect summer dessert! It’s cool and refreshing, it doesn't require baking or turning on your stove, and it can be made in advance. Plus, it’s super-easy. Who wants to slave away in the kitchen when you could be enjoying the warm summer weather?

My Italian Grandmother used to make these delicious Italian Biscotti cookies. I changed only two things after making them the first time. Used 2 TSP of anise seed instead of 1 1/2. I also cut them with a serrated knife after being out of the oven about 10 minutes. Then let them sit about 1 hour before the double bake. I will also add extra details that were left out, (you know we Italians rarely measure when we know a recipe by heart, haha :)
An Italian favorite, My Grandmother made these every Christmas for us. They have been a tradition handed down. I needed to know the carbs for them as my son is Type 1 diabetic and we have to count every carb he eats. So I put in the ingredients and now I know. I was pretty close with my guess. I guessed 12g for each cookie.
Grandma's Italian Easter cookies recipe. Handed down from many generations. Traditional cookies are made with no sprinkles or glaze, but I do some that way too. Whole cloves for the eyes of the bunnies and chicks:)
Nut free, egg free, dairy free, corn free, soy free, gluten free
Quick n' easy to stir up. Fun for kids, too! Definitely NOT low carb or low fat, unfortunately.
Light, refreshing. A bit sweet. I used 1/8 c sugar and 1/8 c stevia. This may be fine without this added sweeteners.
This is a single serve recipe but this is definitely a large single portion and very filling
