Leaving the crust out, cooking the lamb with the veggies, and draining and rinsing the lamb after browning helps to reduce the fat and calories in this meal.
This is better with lamb, but you can use ground beef just fine.

I found this recipe online and modified it. Its easy, healthy and tasty, so I thought it belonged on SP. The original uses cooking spray and omits some of the herbs.
This is a version of the widely circulated Obama Chili recipe. It subs meatless soy crumbles for the ground turkey in the original. I double the spices because the soy version seems to require it. I add 3 tbs ketchup to all Obama chili- try it!
