My adaptation of Elise's recipe, making a lighter but still delicious easy dinner.
Vegetarian with less calories using non-fat milk instead of 2% and only 1 C parmesan (instead of 2 1/2 C). A little less cheesy, still tasty.

Mix first seven ingredients together with a spoon or fork. Not an electric mixer. Bake 40-50 minutes at 350 in a 13x9 or two smaller pans.
Mix last four ingredients tog while cake is baking. Spread frosting on cake while still warm. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. 24 servings
