All that wonderful Italian Ziti flavor in 5 quick minutes. Thanks to the pressure cooker, this hearty delcious meal is easy to please.
I saw this on the Old Chicago menu. It had lots of added extras, but I have pared mine down to this.
I use fat-free cheese (not on ingredient list), but the rest is the same.
A friend made this once and made her own whole-wheat pizza crust and I think that would make it better, too!
This is a fabulous pizza. Crushed red pepper is optional, but it adds a nice flavor. Fairly low calorie for a personal pizza!
A delicious easy recipe that takes very few ingredients, is pretty fast to make, and is almost impossible to mess up!

I either use tomato sauce or whole tomatoes, peeled and blended. Put the tomato sauce, tomato paste and all the dry spices in a crock pot. Saute onion and garlic and add to the crock pot. Brown the kielbasa and the ground beef. Add the ground beef to the crock pot. I don't add the keilbasa until the last 1/2 hour. It tends to lose its shape being in the sauce so long. Cook for at least 4 hours. Note: I used extra lean ground beef but ground turkey is just as good!
A slimmed down version of a tasty and hearty Italian meal. I first saw the original recipe on the Lidia's Italy cooking program on PBS.
This pasta dish makes a very large amount (12 servings). My kids loved it.
It's got 13 grams of protein (can substitute with soy cheese & make it vegan). 254 calories, 3 grams of fat, 8 grams of and 4 weight watchers points.
I learned this recipe while living in Italy. It is so divine, you will stop going out for alfredo dishes to cook for everyone you know. It's even low enough in calories to fit into a meal without blowing it. I could not find an alfredo recipe that I could successfully make for 5 tries. Even this is recipe that I couldn't mess up. Sometimes I wish I never got to turn out right. Ha
This recipe makes 1 serving.. multiply as you need. It's so easy to make, you'll be finished faster than a trip to Fazoli's would take.

This is made with the lowest sodium chicken sausages we could find. You could cut out the sausage or replace with chicken breast for lower sodium, but sausage holds up better especially after reheating leftovers. (And unless you're having a big dinner party, you will be reheating leftovers!)
Possible add-ins:
1 cup frozen or fresh peas
1.5 cups frozen or fresh sweet corn (makes it very creamy)
1 cup chopped fresh asparagus
1 slice chopped prosciutto (adds sodium)
Approximating La Fiamma's side salad. So good, I do wish that I could make it at home.
A hearty winter spaghetti sauce. You can substitute a milder sausage for a less spicy taste, but the spiciness really warms you up!
This was a quick fix for myself one day for lunch when my kids had pasta with hamburger meat. My oldest son loved it.
