Baked chicken breast, stuffed with spinach, tomato, pesto and garlic.
This is a recipe I thought up because I have high blood pressure and am on a low sodium diet. This is a low-sodium, semi-low calorie dinner. It's a bit spicy, but it's very filling and delicious. :D
What once started as Keema has now become a one pot meal. I play with the different spices to determine how much of which I'd like to incorporate. I also have used frozen peas or peppers to add a vegetable. This very tasty meal turns out with a consistency similiar to chili and can be altered to your liking. A filling bowl for just over 300 cals!
Switch out reg hot dogs for turkey dogs for a healthier version
You can use buns instead of slices of bread, but make sure you account for the difference in nutrition.
We love cooking chinese :P This recipe is only an example with what veggies we had handy, you can switch around with bell peppers, green onion, mushrooms, beef, etc.... It goes of course best with white rice.
I'm not sure why my chinese dishes are way lower in calories than the ones Spark has by default, anyway here's another of our usual chinese recipes :P We recycled some roasted chicken pieces, you can substitute whith whatever meat, shrimp, etc though. You can have it alone, accompanied with white rice and soy sauce, or if you feel fancy chau fan rice ^^
This recipe is easy to make and easy to make your own. You can add veggies as you like, but this is the base recipe. I like to add green onions and mushrooms.
I've modified this from a Campbell's Soup recipe. I didn't cover the dish the first time and the rice didn't cook in 45 minutes so I had to cook another 20 minutes. I'm going to try this in the slow cooker next round.
This is a healthier version of the macaroni with mushroom soup and ground beef I used to make my son when he was younger.
Parmesan crusted chicken and white wine sauce. I got this recipe from allrecipe.com and made some changes based on other reviews. It added to the calorie content a bit, although I think the listed nutrition facts were wrong. I think this receipe is a little indulgent but when served with just a vegetable or a salad with light dressing I think it is a harmless treat
Yummy homemade turkey pot pie, without all the sodium and preservatives of the frozen kind.
