Goetta is a breakfast sausage of likely German-American origin that is popular in the greater Cincinnati area. It is primarily composed of ground meat (pork, or pork and beef), pin-head oats and spices.[1] Pronounced gétt-aa, ged-da or get-uh Americanized pronunciation, this dish probably originated with German settlers from the northwestern regions of Oldenburg, Hannover, and Westphalia who emigrated to the Cincinnati area in the 19th century.
I took the recipe off the back of Bob's Red Mill High Fiber Pancake and Waffle Whoel Grain Mix and made it lower fat.
An old family favorite with a gluten free twist. (Tim is a cousin who would eat these all day every day if he could) I added the Xantham Gum to help them rise and if you cut sugar in half, they taste like pan bread, great for sandwiches.
