Spanish Recipes (Most Popular)
This recipe I found on the back of a box of Heartland Whole Grain Rotini--I don't know if that counts as a copyrighted source or not. I have had to make a few modifications in the nutrition calculations; for instance there was no way to put in "1/2 cup pitted black olives" in the nutrition calculator, so guestimated 10 jumbo black olives would be about half a cup. The nutrition information should be relatively close, if not perfect.
This is a re-creation of a restaurant dish. Can't say how authentic it is, but it is tasty.
The pineapple is prepared before hand and cut into chunks and frozen hard. Fill the blender with the frozen pineapple and add the cup of skim milk. Blend until thick and creamy. Add a few nuts and chocolate sauce if desired
This salad is great by itself or as a topping. It is healthy and delicious!! I find that it tastes better when served after being chilled over night.
Simple but impressive looking dish. Can be done in the oven and made in advance, ready to be re-heated when required. I made it for a Spanish tapas themed night where we all had to bring a dish and it went down very well with everyone.
An Italian or Mexican flavored oil. Achiote oil is annatto seeds and olive oil. It is used to flavor and color many dishes such as yellow rice. This recipe is so simple; you will wonder why you have not tried it before.
This is based off a dish my grandmother cooked a lot. I love it served with white rice being the Peruvian I am. But for me now...it's brown rice. Most often served with Bacalao (a dried very salty fish that is soaked over night in water to remove the salt and rehydrate the fish). It's a Easter dish I think.
Prep: 20 min., Bake: 40 min., Stand: 5 min. Choose a mixture of everyone's favorite chicken pieces, such as drumsticks, bone-in breasts, and thighs.
Not only is it a fast and easy way to use some stuff you probably already have in your pantry, it's an inexpensive recipe that you can make for just 2 people or double/triple/ect. for a family.
Quick and easy and great on the nights you don't want to cook. Use the freshest and best veggies you can find.
