Nutrition & Calorie Comments

This is a VERY LOW CALORIE hummus, as it contains no olive oil. The serving size here is HUGE, much larger than the standard 2 tbs serving size of store bought brands (for those complaining that 220 calories is a lot).
Please note the serving size for this versus the store-bought serving size; this one is much larger so the calories are higher. Tribe store-bought is only 2tbsp for a serving...
This looks wonderful to me! I love hummus, but have mixed results when I make it myself. I can't wait to try this. For those who think it is too high in calories/fat,etc -- realize it is "good" fat, and also the amount of fiber and protein you are getting. Great Deal!
Sounds good, but so high in calories! The stuff I buy only has 50 calories per serving... hmmm...
Gwenione, this IS healthy, especially if you make it with no-salt-added chickpeas. Sodium is my enemy! It is yummy and healthy. We eat it on whole wheat matzo. The kids can't get enough!
never realized hummus was so high in calories, thanks for the info, I still may try it.
Is this really healthy? High calories??? And fat? But I'm new and I will try it tomorrow. gwenione
