Nutrition & Calorie Comments

This is my family's favorite dip. I use onion soup mix, green onions, sliced carrots, radishes, and any other fresh vegetables I have in the refrigerator. I substitute fat free yogurt for sour cream.
I substituted Walden Farms zero calorie mayo and cut the calories a good deal........it was GREAT!
I half this recipe to make at home to help me eat more vegetables and use it to dip carrot sticks and broccoli spears. I use fat free or low fat plain yogurt in place of sour cream, slightly more than 1/4 cup of mayo, but use the full package of spinach and half the pack of soup mix. Tastes great!
I use light sour cream vs. fat free and omit the water chesnuts. I can't tell the difference but my hubby can. It's the perfect substitution for when you get that craving!!
I am still not a fan of fat free sour cream, so I always use Daisy Lite....but I love this recipe too!! It is also AWESOME served with Pretzel Crisps (you can find them at Costco) or if you are feeling freaky, eat it with Fritos!!!! :)
