Delicious! My husband thought the apples tart - but I liked that! I subtituted the 1tsp of sugar for splenda. I nuked them for 5 mins, stirred, then continued microwaving for 2 minutes. I let them sit for awhile and the water thickened into a nice sauce. Great topping for pancakes!
A fun way to use up the bitter apples in my fridge! I used Agave Nectar (for glycemic index purposes) which may not have been as tasty as brown sugar, but it was still a yummy treat!
