Every time we have had a get together my friend Laurie has made this time (I even request it.). So, I decided to finally recreate the recipe myself. She, of course, uses the fattening cream cheese and other high calorie ingredients, but maybe this version will tide me over. Makes about 16 servings of 4 T each.

I got the basic recipe from Taste of Home. You are supposed to use 3 whole eggs and the 1 T is supposed to be lemon zest, but I never have lemon's on hand. I just use what I have. I reduced the sugar and I suppose you can use whatever sweetener you want. It's great on scones or with a plain cookie like macaroons.
