My family used to go to a restaurant that served this with the meal and my Mom asked for the recipe. They gave it to her and we have been making it ever since. This was in the 50's--so I don't know if they are still in business.

When I invented this in the eighties nobody had heard of smoothies. I had to bring breakfast on the bus at 5 in the morning so it had to be drinkable.
If you are vegan use soygurt instead, or make it all fruit.
I used potato,carrot parsnip, feel fre to make your own mixture.
I also forgot tl buy butter so I used yogurt.

could not find whole yellow peas ,so I used split yellow peas.
I also like more spice so I added some chili powder and baharat.
