Great on salads, tomatoes, or on meats and fish. I mix 1 tablespoon per 2 cups of salad greens for a nice alternative to bottled dressings. Keep remaining vinaigrette in a sealed container in the fridge for several days.
This is a modified version of my favorite quiche recipe, and is just as tasty lowfat and vegetarian!

1 large onion quartered
2 carrots peeled and halved
2 ribs celery halved
5 cloves garlic smashed
1 bottle Pinot Noir wine (750ml)
3 leaves fresh bay
4 lbs beef chuck roast cut into 1/2 inch cubes
Combine the onion, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, and wine in a large bowl or container. Add the beef, cover, and let sit in the refrigerator overnight.
2 pkgs active dry yeast
1 c warm water
1 c cold water
1/2 c old fashion oats
1 t salt
4 1/2 c Whole wheat flour
This recipe was inspired by a protein waffle recipe posted by another sparkpeople member. I upped the protein content by using a scoop of protein powder. The pancakes are delicious topped with the jam. Quick and easy to make. Freeze leftovers and reheat in the microwave.
Soup is filling enough to be served as the entree, just add some hearty bread and maybe a salad.
