This is a great soup if you are congested, or just hungry! I use chicken broth that is salted, so I don't add any salt to the recipe, but you may want to. I developed this soup to use up left over roasted chicken. You can boil the meat off the bones, or use other sources of chicken.

If you like a thicker, chili-like stew, follow the recipe exactly, but if you want a thinner, more soup-like consistency, just add more water!
