I am addicted to ordering lettuce cups when I go out to eat - I think because they are low carb, high protein that they are one of the best options - plus they are delish! In actuality, they are probably not very healthy from a restaurant - considering they probably use a lot more oil, high sodium sauces and who knows how lean the meat is - some restaurants have more fat (saturated) and calories in their turkey burgers than their beef burgers!

Salsa isn't permitted but 1 tsp didn't seem to make a difference for me.
This can be made healthier in several ways such as using chicken breasts instead of dark meat or salt free tomatoes and leave out the capers. This was my Mom's basic recipe except she used a skinned whole chicken instead of only the dark meat pieces. Almost everything is subject to changing quantities to the cook's preferences and it still tastes good.
