Nothing earth-shattering here, but we'd eaten a very spicy Mexican meal and I wanted a quick little something sweet. This is for two people, half a tortilla each. That was all I wanted, but you could eat the whole tortilla and still not be too bad :)
This smoothie is one of my favorite ways to start the morning. It's really satisfying and has a lot of vitamins packed into not many calories! If I'm by myself I drink the whole thing, but you can split it and still have a good breakfast :)
Use what ever veggies you want, I usually use potatoes, carrots, parsnip, zucchini. Adjust time for veggies that cook faster.
An off the cuff creation combining the recipes for chorizo & eggs and chorizo & potatoes.
Found this recipe in the bulk foods dept of my local grocery and thought to give it a try. Delicious as is, while lending itself to infinite variations based on preferences and availability of ingredients. This recipe can also be made in a slow cooker.
This is a recipe my mother received from a friend back in the very early 70s and is a mandatory staple in our home for Thanksgiving. The original recipe called for a whopping 2 cups of sugar. I've modified it by using Splenda. Please adjust the sweetner to your taste.
I can't have a partially consumed bag of chocolate chips in the house so I love that I can buy 1 candy bar, make this recipe, and not have the residual chocolate temptation in the cabinet. Now if I could just buy peanut butter in a 1 Tbs portion.
I've been making this recipe (or a variation of it) nearly every Saturday morning for the last 9 years. I hope you like it as much as I and my family do!
