This is a quick 15 minutes rice using a boil in the bag brown rice and some veggies. You can adjust the tomatoes to suit you spice level also.
A friend of mine made this at a Bunco party and I almost couldn't stop eating it. It was awesome. She gave me the original she got hers from, but she made alterations, I think. Next time I will make mine with just sour cream and Greek yogurt and omit the mayo. This still was pretty good.
We went to a Greek Festival this weekend and I sampled this delicious dip. I came home and found a few recipes online, but this is the only one that looked like it might give the orange color we saw. The recipe we ate actually tasted like feta, hot sauce and maybe either green onions or jalepenos. It was served with fried pita chips, but of course I would use baked or veggies. It was awesome!
I got this recipe from The Freezer Cooking Manual form The 30 Day Gourmet and changed the kidney beans to red beans and the canned corn to frozen. I also use low sodium taco seasoning. This is easy and tastes great. It makes about 12 - 1 cup servings.
I saw another user use Cheerios Multi-Grain as their base for a trail mix and decided to make my own mix because I love that cereal. I also calculated this w/out the Chex and adding 2 more cups of O's it comes out to 160 cal, 7.6 fat, 19.3 carbs, 3.7 fiber and 5.3 protein. Each makes about 6 C or 12 servings of 1/2 c each.
I found this in a Taste of Home magazine and used turkey sausage and less brown sugar. It's really tasty! I think some sliced potatoes would be good with it, too. (not in the nutritional info)
I've been exploring different combinations of the diet sodas and cakes or brownies lately. I love chocolate and nuts! Walnuts are also one of the super foods, so why not put it all together? This uses brownies with Splenda, diet Shasta rootbeer and walnuts, that's it! The second time I used grape diet Shasta!
Next time I make this my 4 year old son asked me to tone it down since I have white pepper and spicy brown mustard in it. It is REALLY good, though! I left out the tomato sauce in another batch and made meatballs. It made about meatballs. If you have 4 meatballs per serving or about 2.26 oz you get 251.3 cal, 19.6 fat, 1.2 carbs, .1 fiber, and 17.1 protein.
My fiance began making this for me when I started my weight loss journey. It is extremely satisfying with Stacy' Pita Chips or Carrots I finally caught him making it and was able to get the recipe. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
These are fancy, tasty and oh so good for you. Serve them the next time you're entertaining and everyone will be impressed.
This recipe makes about 5 lil' sandwiches.
I got an e-mail from Kellogg's and it sounded so good. I love jalapeņo poppers!! I figured I would give this dish a try.
I found the original recipe in a Taste of Home magazine. I altered it just a bit to suit what I had at home.
We have been buying some really great fresh corn from the farmers. So, I have had to be inventive with some of the recipes since they make you buy 12 at a time. This recipe is simple and fresh!
I love bean dip and have made several varieties over the years, this is probably my favorite.
I tasted a great salad at Sweet Tomatoes and then later at our Farmer's store, I decided to mix a few ingredients of my own and try it at home. This is just a basic mix where you can had feta, goat or any crumbly cheese, fresh veggies and a light vinegar dressing to make a great salad.
I had looked online to find recipes for my new pot and found a lady who had one. I used most of the same ingredients, but used Classico's sauce, changed the cream to evaporated skim milk and used a different noodle. It smelled amazing cooking and the nibble I tasted says dinner is going to be good tonight!
I got this one from a friend when we passed meals around in our Mommy's group. It's a very easy put together crock meal because you use frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts, canned mushroom soup, and bacon bits instead of bacon. Oh and yummy sour cream!
I used thin spaghetti in this one with some parmesan and egg in the mixing sauce to make it more like a lasagna casserole. This Everyday Pan is easy to work with.
I just got a new ceramic pan and wanted to make something wonderful for my family. I tell ya, it beautiful.
I had heard of this cake before and went searching for it. It was really great and a crowd pleaser!
These baked jalapeno poppers really hit the spot an d you can make them spicy if you want to by adding some chopped jalapenos or jarred juice. I use my fresh grown peppers and jarred 50% less fat bacon along with 1/3 less fat cream cheese and 2% milk shredded cheese so these are lower in fat and calories than a lot of other varieties. You will have many different sized peppers so I just give 2 oz as a serving size. My mix made a total of about 27 oz with peppers and mix which yields about 13.5 servings of 2 oz. each.
We make this with Turkey Spam or canned ham and vary the veggies. It's quite easy and much healthier than the restaurants. We eat it with Success boil in the bag brown rice which cooks in your microwave in 10 minutes. 1 c cooked rice is 150 cal, 1 fat, 33 carbs, 2 fiber and 4 protein.
I found the stroganoff recipe in some magazine and tweeked it a bit. Our family LOVES IT! It's very filling and pretty tasty with a side of green beans.
I found this on SP today and it sounded great. I used pork instead of chicken, no cilantro or ginger. I also used chunky PB. I lowered the soy, upped the chicken broth and because of the kids, lowered the red pepper flakes as well. This was great, just make sure to eat it warm! ***The original recipe called for 1 red bell pepper, but I had 3 multi colored one already cut up so I used what I had.
Betty Crocker Strawberry Cake and Diet Shasta Grape soda. Very easy and super moist. I reduced the size of the piece so you get less calories. Serve with fruit and it is delicious! Try all sorts of combos, lemon cake with ginger ale, rootbeer with brownies; basically any diet soda (I use caffeine free) and the whole cake mix or brownie mix, nothing else.
