Used splenda brown sugar and substituted pumpkin pie spice for the whole amount of cloves/cinnamon. Came out pretty tasty. Think I will try some on a crockpot pork tenderloin next.
I made this 2 days ago with apples picked from the Apple Farm 2 weeks ago - I did add the 3/4C brown sugar, but not the 3/4 Splenda. The result was perfectly sweet and (according to my hubby who has actually had apple butter before - I have not...) wonderfully delicious! whole family loved it!
