This recipe was handed out by a member at a Weight Watcher. Everyone who tried making them thought they were great. They're high in fiber which makes them only 1 point (90 calories) each. This tool calculated it to be more calories and less fiber than what is listed on the recipe. I'm not sure if I've used the correct "bran" for the calculation.
My basic recipe for pancakes.
Add blueberries if you like.
To smooth out the texture, blend the cottage cheese and oatmeal before adding to mix.
Sometimes I add ground cinnamon to the mixture, since it helps regulate blood sugar, and tastes great!
A filling, hearty, tasty pancake. This is a large recipe, so I usually freeze the extras and pack them in the kid's lunches later in the week. Just slice and spread with a bit of Maple Butter. You could also half the recipie.
Combine 1st 4 ingredients, mix well. In another bowl combine maple syrup, oil, salt. Combine with dry ingrediens mix well. Cook 250 for 1 hr 15 min or until lightly brown. This granole has a beautiful taste but will not clump up like other granolas. My family really loves it. I add the cranberries after the granola has cooled.
These blueberry muffins incorporate enough healthy ingredients, such as wheat germ, oats and whole wheat, that you feel healthy while indulging in its delicious, cinnamon, brown sugar warmth.
This recipe is for the oatmeal mix. I keep this mix in a jar, and scoop out 1/4 cup every day, refill as needed.
