Suggestion....next time I make these I will use "Splenda Brown Sugar Blend" to make them sugar free. I will also use all whole wheat flour instead of half and half. If I can find a good baking substitute for the butter, I will try that as well. Surpisingly, these little cookies hit the spot and are quite filling. 2 = serving and 113 calories and 1 weight watcher point. If you need a nice snack or dessert, 4 of these little cookies is 226 calories and 2 weight watcher points!!!
Tasty but low calorie and low fat. You will love this. This recipe and photo were both originally posted on recipezaar.com by ladypit.
Vegan pumpkin scones! Sweetened with stevia - good for diabetics and other low-sugar peeps! Nutritional information is for the basic recipe, but add 1/2c chocolate chips and 1/2c walnuts for some extra yumminess and they're only 177 calories! You can also make them with Wheat Flour instead of the White for extra fiber.
I love candied nuts, but they're usually too salty and have way too much sugar. These are a great salt-free, sweet and spicy alternative.
These won't be the best looking cookies, but could possibly be the best tasting at your next pot luck! Either way, they are sure to get many compliments =)
I grew up with this recipe that my Grandmother used to make for me. It has always been a family favorite even though I don't know if I would have tried it on my own.
Dice the mango, jalapeno peppers (remove seeds, if desired) and red onion. Mince cilantro. Mix pineapple, mangos, japalenos, cilantro, red onion, and lime juice. Season with salt, to taste.
If desired, add more lime juice, depending on the sweetness of the fruit. Serve with baked tortilla chips or as a condiment for fish.
A nice way to squelch your craving for a slice of apple pie with cheese melted on top.
